My Personal Training Services
All personal training clients will receive an initial consultation in which I will ask you questions and explore with you your aspirations, challenges, objectives, likes and dislikes. I’ll take your measurements and bodystats and then use all this information to create a completely individualised recommended programme that will enable you to achieve your goals.
I’ll devise a programme for us to follow when we’re together, but also a comprehensive plan for what you should be doing when/if you train alone. This may include home exercises, gym recommendations and diet plans should you need them.
Home-based personal training
Within the locations I serve, I can travel to your home or local area at a time convenient for you. I’ll bring all the equipment we’ll need and vary your sessions regularly so that you continue to find them interesting, challenging and effective.
Gym-based personal training
Some gyms enable you to bring in your own PT. Where this is the case I’ll work out a gym programme, based on your personal goals, that incorporates the right equipment and machines. I’ll ensure you make the best of the time we have together, through using equipment that you’re unsure of or less comfortable using on your own. As with all personal training, every few weeks your programme will evolve in line your new fitness level and to keep it interesting.
One off programme reviews
You may have hit a plateau in your training or weight loss. You may have set a specific goal such as a distance run or other performance challenge, and don’t know where to start. By assessing your current fitness level and ability, the timescales involved and your personal circumstances I can produce a winning performance plan or programme review.
This will kickstart or reinvigorate your training and ensure you’re going in the right direction. I’ll be happy to review again or simply have a chat about how things are going as and when you need to.
Diet and Nutrition
Diet and nutrition are interlinked with fitness and performance. An obvious link if you are aiming to lose weight, but actually what you eat and drink will also impact on body shape, muscle gain and performance levels. Therefore it’s absolutely crucial you get this right.
I naturally talk to all my clients about their diet and provide nutritional advice as an added value service. But if you would benefit from a more detailed, formal diet plan that is easy to follow and tailored entirely around you and your life, I can create this for you too.
By following my bespoke nutritional plans, you’ll see a reduction in fat and improvement in your health and energy, without succumbing to ineffective crash and fad diets.
Understanding your body is key to determining the best way to improve your outcomes and performance. These measurements will let us know what’s working and what’s not, and help guide how we develop your programme and set new objectives.
Your six weekly bodystats will measure all the key fitness, weight and performance indicators including;
- Body Fat Percentage and Fat Weight
- Lean Mass Percentage and Lean Weight
- Body Water Percentage and Total Body Water
- Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
- BMR/Body Weight
- Average Daily Calorie Requirement
- Body Mass Index – Plus Normal Range
- Waist/Hip Ratio
